purchase the old taro root ( cheppa kizhangu ). and boil it in the pressure cooker by adding salt and water and allow for 2 whistles. and peel the skin
chop into small pieces
make a paste with coconut, fennel seed, garlic, onion, red chili, salt and turmeric powder
in a kadai or pan heat the oil and the masala paste and mix well
add chopped cheppa kizhangu and mix well
add oil if required and fry well until the masala get cooked well in medium flame
