Mushroom Peas Pulao

This is a simple lunch box recipe prepared within 15 minutes. Mushroom and green peas both have lots of nutritional and health benefits.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cup Boiled Rice
  • 200 gms Mushroom
  • 100 gms Green Peas
  • 2 Onion
  • Ginger a small piece
  • 5 to Garlic
  • Mint Leaves few
  • 3 Green Chillies
  • 1 Cinnamon
  • 2 Cloves
  • 1 Green Cardamom
  • 1/2 to Black Pepper Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon Masala Powder garam/ biriyani
  • Salt As needed
  • 3 Teaspoon Oil and ghee

Instructions
 

  • First Grind ginger, garlic, 1 green chilly and mint leaves together as a paste. Keep it aside.
  • In a kadai, heat oil and ghee and add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, slided green chillies for tempering.
  • Now add the grinded paste and cook till the raw smell goes.
  • Add the chopped onions and cook till it turns into slight brown colour
  • Now add the green peas and mushroom and mix it well. Normally, mushrooms leave water. So wait till the water is completely drained.
  • Once the water is drained, add pepper powder, masala powder, coriander powder and salt.
  • Mix it well and cook till the raw smell goes and the vegetables are blended with masala.
  • Now add the boiled rice and mix it well. Turn off the flame
  • Now, the tasty simple mushroom peas pulao is ready. It can be served with Cauliflower/Potato fry and raita.

Notes

Here, i have used pepper powder instead of red chilli powder, as pepper is very good for health. Infact it gives a new taste to this pulao. It is very good for kids.
