Hotel Style Kurma

Vegetable Kurma / Korma is the best accompaniment with roti's or even poori's.There are different types of kurmas, but the hotel style veg kurma that is served with chapathi, roti, parota, idiyappam etc..,tastes different.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Mixed Vegetables
  • 1 chopped Onion
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1 Green chili
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 10 Garlic
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/2 cup Coconut
  • 5 tblsp Roasted channa dal
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 4 Cloves
  • 2 Cinnamon
  • 2 Cardamom
  • 3 tblsp Oil
  • Salt as taste
  • 1/2 tsp Fennel seed

Instructions
 

  • In a blender grind ginger, garlic, Green chili together and keep aside
  • In a blender again grind coconut, roasted channa and fennel seeded
  • In a pan add oil, temper bay leaf, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom
  • Now add onion and green chili and ginger garlic paste
  • Now add mixed vegetables and tomato and saute well
  • Now add all powder, saute it and cook for 5 mins
  • Now add coconut paste and water for gravy and boil for 10 mins
  • Now its ready to serve Hotel style Kurma
