Kadappa

This is a famous recipe in kumbakonam. This is good combo for all breakfast like idly dosa and chapathi , poori.etc. In kadappa, we use different ingredients. coconut and moong dal is combined in this recipe which gives more thickness and taste too.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Carrot
  • 2 Potato
  • 1/4 cup peas
  • 1/2 cup Moong dal
  • 2 Onions
  • 1 Tomato
  • To grind
  • 1 cup Coconut
  • 1/2 cup Roasted channa dal
  • 5 Green chili
  • 1 tsp Funnel seed
  • 1 Star anise
  • 1 Dagad Phool
  • 2 tblsp Oil
  • Salt as tatse

Instructions
 

  • Grind all the ingredients which is in tables and keep aside
  • Boil all vegetables and moong dal and keep aside
  • Chop onions and tomato and keep aside
  • In pan add oil saute Onions and add water
  • Add tomato and cook for 2 mins
  • Now add grind paste and mix it well and cook till raw smell goes
  • Now add Vegetables and dal mix it well andcook for some more mins add salt and bring to boil and turn off
  • Now its ready to serve Kadappa
