500gmFish Head Cut into medium size pieces , any big fish
1noOnion Chopped
8-10nosGarlic pods crushed
1inchGinger crushed
4-5nosGreen chilly slit length wise
4-5nosTamarind kudampuli
1/Fenugreek seeds
1/Turmeric powder
2tbspChilli powder
1tbspCoriander powder
1/Pepper powder
Water as required.
Curry leaves.
4tbspCoconut oil
Salt to taste.
Instructions
Heat oil in a wide pan , splutter fenugreek seeds and add ginger, garlic, onion, green chilly, curry leaves. Sauté it till the raw smell goes.
Then add all powders and sauté it for 2-3 minutes.
Add warm water, tamarind and salt.When it starts to boil , add cleaned fish head into the pan and mix well. Cover and cook the fish pieces on low flame for 7-10 minutes.(Check occasionally ).
Enjoy the Fish Head ( Meen Thala ) Curry with boiled Kappa or Rice.
