Kerala Fried Prawns

It Is considered the signature dish of Kerala.

Ingredients
  

  • 250 g Prawns
  • 1 tsp Ginger/garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Pepper powder
  • 2 tsp Lime juice
  • 8-10 nos Small onions
  • 5 nos. Garlic cloves Optional
  • Curry leaves.
  • Oil for frying.
  • Salt to taste.

Instructions
 

  • Marinate the cleaned prawns with all the ingredients: ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, chilly powder, pepper powder, lime juice and required salt. Keep it aside for 15 - 20 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a fry pan and fry the prawns until it turns golden brown in colour.
  • Add whole small onions, garlic cloves, curry leaves and fry.
  • Tasty prawns fry is ready to serve. It goes well with rice, chapati.
