Mochakottai Brinjal Kuzhambu

mochakottai is season during in december to January. this very tasty and Protein too.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Mochakottai
  • 2 Brinjal
  • 15 Shallots small onion
  • 1 Tomato
  • 5 Garlic
  • Tamarind small lemon size
  • 1/4 cups Coconut
  • Cuury leaves small
  • 2 tsp Sambhar powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp Jeera
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard
  • 1/4 tsp Fenugreek
  • 1/2 tsp Vadagam
  • Oil as needed
  • Salt as needed

Instructions
 

  • Boil the mochalottai for 3 whistle and keep aside.
  • Grind coconut onions tomato and jeera
  • In pan temper mustard jeera fenugrek with oil.
  • Add th Vadagam and add asafoetida
  • Now add onions and garlic and curry leaves saute for few mins
  • Add Tomato and Brinjal and saute upto is softt.
  • Add turmeric and sambhar powder and salt in low flame
  • Add Tamarind water in that and water too.
  • When it boil well and add coconut paste in that, make thick curry .
  • Serve hot with Rice and idly or dosa..
