Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Semiya preferably roasted semiya
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 10-12 pieces Cashew nuts
  • Raisins as reqd, Unakka munthiri
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom make powder
  • 4 Milk

Instructions
 

  • For preparing the delicious creamy dessert, first fry the cashew nuts and raisins in ghee.
  • When the color of cashew-nuts and raisins turns golden, take it out and keep it aside.
  • Boil the milk in a vessel.
  • Add sugar and semiya into the boiled milk and stir it well.
  • Boil the mix further for about 10-15 minutes (stir it occasionally) .
  • When the semiya is cooked well, add the cardamom powder also into the Payasam and switch off the stove.
  • The tasty dessert can be garnished with the fried cashew nuts and raisins and serve it.
