Bindi (ladies Finger) Fry (Step By Step Photos)

  • 15 Bindi 1/4 gms approx.
  • 1 tbs Corn flour
  • 1 tbs Rice flour
  • ½ ts Jeera powder
  • ¼ ts Pepper powder
  • 1 ts Chilli powder
  • 1 ts Coriander powder
  • Turmeric powder pinch
  • Salt as needed
  • Oil as needed


  • Cut bindi into desired shape
  • Add all the mentioned powder along with the salt
  • Sprinkle water and mix well so that the bindi gets blended. Set aside for 5 minutes
  • Just before frying add the sesame seeds and mix
  • Heat oil in a kadai and fry the bindi. Amount of bindi fried will depend the size of the vessels. Do not add all.
  • Strain the excess oil
  • Garnish with fried curry leaves
