Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups Gooseberries de-seeded and cubed
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1 cup Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • Sesame oil As reqd
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing gooseberry pickle, boil gooseberries in salt water till it becomes tender. Strain it and keep it aside to cool.
  • Heat sesame oil in a vessel and splutter mustard seeds.
  • Add in the cooked gooseberries, chilly powder, turmeric powder, vinegar and required salt. Mix well.
  • Allow it to cool and preserve it in an airtight container.
  • Gooseberry pickle is ready.
