Chukku Kaapi

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 tsp Coffee powder
  • 1/2 piece Palm jaggery for sweetness instead of sugar, karupatti sarkara
  • 1/2 hand Basil Thulasi ela
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp Dry ginger or ginger chukku podi
  • 1/4 tsp Long pepper optional, thippali

Instructions
 

  • For preparing chukku kaapi, boil jaggery, basil, pepper powder, dry ginger and thippali in 1 liter water.
  • Once it boils, add coffee powder and allow it to boil for 1 minute. Remove it from the flame.
  • Chukku kaapi is ready. Filter the coffee and serve hot.
  • Note:- 1)You can get thippali in ayurvedic stores.
  • If you add one thippali, add one full jaggery (insted of 1/2) otherwise it will be too spicy.
