Yummy Pinto Beans Dry

Ingredients
  

  • 200 g Pinto Beans soaked overnight
  • 2 nos Onion finely sliced
  • 1 inch Ginger finely chopped
  • 5 cloves Garlic finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 3 nos Tomatoes chopped
  • 1 tsp Coriander leaves chopped
  • 3 nos Green chillies slit
  • Water As reqd
  • Oil As reqd
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing yummy pinto beans dry, heat the oil in a pressure cooker over medium heat and saute the onions until it turns golden brown.
  • Add in ginger, garlic, chilly powder, green chillies, turmeric powder, salt and tomatoes. Saute it for some time.
  • Then add in the pinto beans and mix it for 5 minutes on low flame.
  • Pour required water and allow the pinto beans to cook on low flame. Cover it with the pressure cooker lid and allow it to cook until it is done.
  • Open the pressure cooker and allow it to boil if there is any water remaining.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and mix it.
  • Yummy pinto beans dry is ready. Serve hot with porotta, chapathi etc.
