  • 1k g Pork chopped
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 3 nos Macadamia nuts
  • 2 cloves Garlic crushed
  • 1 no Onions chopped
  • 2.5 cm Ginger
  • 2 nos Lemon grass stalks sliced
  • 1/2 no Cube shrimp paste
  • 4cm Fresh turmeric
  • 1 tbsp Tamarind pulp soaked in 45ml warm water
  • 400 g Coconut milk
  • Black pepper As reqd
  • Water As reqd
  • Oil As reqd
  • Salt As reqd


  • For preparing pork with fresh turmeric, marinate the pork with a little sugar and keep it aside.
  • Grind the macadamia nuts, garlic, onion, ginger, lemon grass, shrimp paste and fresh turmeric to a fine paste.
  • Strain the tamarind pulp and reserve the juice.
  • Heat the oil in a vessel and saute the paste without browning until a nice smell comes.
  • Add the pieces of pork, salt, water and strained tamarind juice. Mix well.
  • Then add the coconut milk, cover and cook until the pork is tender.
  • Pork with fresh turmeric is ready.
