Ingredients
  

  • 700 g Duck chopped
  • 1 tbsp Ginger finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Garlic finely chopped
  • 2 1/2 cms Cinnamon Karugapatta
  • 4 nos Cloves Grambu
  • 4 nos Dried red chillies broken
  • 2 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • 10 nos Black peppercorns
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Tomato puree
  • 1/2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1 no Onion finely sliced, big
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Cider vinegar
  • Warm water As reqd
  • Oil As reqd
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing mouth-watering duck, grind cinnamon, cloves, cumin seeds, dry red chillies and pepper corns. Keep it aside .
  • Heat 2 tbsp of the oil in a large pan. Fry the ginger and garlic for 30 seconds
  • Add in the ground spice mix to the pan and fry for another 30 seconds.
  • Toss in the duck and turmeric powder. Fry continuously for 5 minutes on medium flame until the duck starts to release its juices.
  • Pour in required warm water, tomato puree and chilly powder. Cover the pan and allow it to simmer for 10 minutes.
  • In another vessel the heat oil and saute the onion until it becomes brown.
  • Then add the fried onion to the duck along with the salt, sugar and vinegar. Mix it, cover and allow it to simmer until the duck is tender. Remove from the heat.
  • Mouth-watering duck is ready. Serve hot
