Coconut Paste Turkey Gravy

Coconut paste is blended with other ingredients and cooked with turkey

  • 1/2 kg Turkey chopped
  • 3 nos Onions finely chopped
  • 2 nos Tomatoes chopped
  • 2 cups Coconut milk
  • Coconut oil As reqd
  • 3 springs Curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt As reqd

For the paste:

  • 1/2 cup Coconut grated
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 1/2 tbsp
  • 4 nos Dry red chilies
  • 1 tsp Poppy seeds Khus khus
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • 2 tbsp Coriander powder


  • For preparing coconut paste turkey gravy, blend together all the ingredients under paste. Keep it aside.
  • Heat coconut oil in a vessel and add the paste. Fry till the oil separates.
  • Toss in the curry leaves. 4)Add in the turkey pieces, tomatoes, onions, turmeric powder and salt. Allow the turkey to cook with a closed lid.(add water if required)
  • Pour in the coconut milk. Mix well and allow it to simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Coconut paste turkey gravy is ready. Serve hot with rice.
