Dry Shrimps Chutney

Dry shrimps are roasted and ground with other ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Dry shrimps
  • 2 nos Green chillies split
  • 1 cup Coconut grated
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 3 nos Shallots Kunjulli
  • Tamarind de-seeded
  • Salt As reqd


  • For preparing dry shrimps chutney, roast the shrimps and remove the heads.
  • Grind the shrimps to a fine powder.
  • Add in garlic, green chillies, tamarind, shallots, coconut and salt. Add 4 tbsp of water if required and grind it to a fine paste.
  • Dry shrimps chutney is ready. Serve with rice as a side dish.
