Cabbage Raita

Steamed cabbage mixed with yogurt mixture and seasoned with mustard seeds and curry leaves

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Cabbage cut into thin, long strips
  • 1/2 cup Beetroot
  • 1/2 cup Carrot
  • 1/2 cup Yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 no Green chilly finely sliced
  • 2 sprigs Curry leaves
  • Pepper powder As per taste
  • Salt As reqd
  • Oil As reqd

Instructions
 

  • first steam cabbage, beetroot, carrot in a microwave for 1 minute taking care that the crunchiness is not lost. Do not over cook the cabbage.
  • Mix together the ingredients: yogurt, green chilly, pepper powder and required salt in a bowl. Stir in steamed cabbage and mix gently. 3)Heat oil in a pan. Splutter mustard seeds and add curry leaves.
  • Pour into cabbage raita and serve chilled.
