Pear Walnut Salad With Ricotta Cheese

Ingredients
  

  • 1 no Ripe firm pear cored
  • 1 no Red oakleaf lettuce small, leaves separated
  • 1/4 cup Walnut halves unsalted
  • 1 tbsp Ricotta cheese
  • Lemon juice As reqd

For pear dressing:

  • 1 no Fresh pear canned with 1 tbsp liquid reserved
  • 1 tbsp Red wine/balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper freshly ground

Instructions
 

  • Cut the pear into few segments. Place this in a bowl.
  • Add lemon juice and toss(this prevents pears from turning brown). Keep this aside.
  • To prepare pear dressing, place pear, liquid, red wine or balsamic vinegar in a blender. Make a puree and keep aside.
  • Arrange the lettuce leaves in a serving platter. Top with the tossed pear. Drizzle the salad with the pear dressing.
  • Scatter the top with walnuts and ricotta cheese.
  • Pear walnut salad with ricotta cheese is ready.
