Navaratan Kuruma

Ingredients
  

  • 1 no Potato cooked
  • 1/4 cup Green Peas cooked
  • 1/2 piece Apple cut in to small cubes
  • 100 gm Grapes green
  • 6 nos Green chilly
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 4 pods Garlic
  • Patta one leaf
  • 1/2 tsp Saunf
  • 1/4 piece Coconut
  • 1 no Onion cut lengthwise, big
  • 6 nos Coriander leaf
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp Poppy seed
  • 10 nos Cashew
  • 1/4 cup Curd
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Oil ghee
  • 1 no Tomato sliced
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tbsp Sugar

Instructions
 

  • Soak poppy seed in curd for 15 minutes to make it soft.
  • Grind coconut with soaked poppy seeds, cashew, sauf, coriander leaves, ginger , garlic and green chillies.
  • Heat ghee and add onion and patta.
  • When onion turns light brown add tomato slices.
  • When tomato is cooked add the ground masala and saute for sometime until the raw smell disappears and becomes little dry.
  • Add water to this and add cooked and diced potato, cooked peas.
  • Add Apple, grapes, salt and sugar.
  • Cover and boil until blended well. :-May be for 5 minutes
  • Add curry leaves.
  • Boil once and remove from fire.
  • :-Very good to eat with idly, chappathy, pathiri or ghee rice or even with bread.
