Drumstick Curry - Easy

Drumsticks curry - Munagkaada kura

Ingredients
  

  • 2 nos Drumsticks or 10 pieces of frozen drumstick, cut into finger sized, Muringakkai
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 nos Green chillies
  • 1 no Onion minced, big
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
  • 2 nos Tomato chopped finely
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder

For seasoning:-

  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Curry leaves A few
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in pressure pan.
  • Add the seasoning ingredients and saute for 1 min.
  • Add the green chillies and minced onions, salt, turmeric and cook till golden brown.
  • Add the ginger-garlic paste and saute for a while.
  • Add drumstick, tomatoes, coriander powder and chilli powder, stir well and saute for 3 mins.
  • Add 1/2 cup water, change the flame to high, close the lid and pressure cook until 1 or 2 whistles.
  • After cooling, open the lid and see if any water left.
  • :- If water is there, just cook open until water evaporates.
  • Finally garnish with cilantro leaves.
  • :- Serve with plain rice.
