North Indian Naan

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups All purpose flour Maida
  • 4 tsp Butter
  • ghee
  • 2 tbsp Curd
  • 1/2 tsp Yeast
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 2/3rd cup Water
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Sesame seeds Ellu
  • 1 tbsp Allpurpose flour

Instructions
 

  • Mix 1/2 tsp of yeast, sugar in 2 tsp of warm water and close the lid of the bowl and leave it undisturbed for 5 mins and allow the yeast to raise.
  • In another bowl, mix salt and all purpose flour.
  • Add the yeast mixture, 2 tsp of butter, 2 tbsp of curd and 1/2 cup water.
  • Knead it well.
  • Leave the dough covered for about 1 - 2 hrs in a warm place so that yeast in the dough raises the dough.
  • Knead the dough again for 5 mins until soft with the help of your nuckles.
  • Divide the dough into 4 rolls and roll them with the help of dry flour and rolling pin/hand.
  • Top the nans with sesame seeds and press with ur hands gently.
  • Heat an iron griddle on the stove and transfer the naan onto the griddle,wait until it sturts to bubble and bit, then turn it to other side and add butter.
  • Once it is done on both the sides, just apply butter and transfer it to another container and place the lid.
  • Bake the other 3 naans in the same way.
  • :- Serve them hot with gravy curries.
  • Note: ------
  • :- While preparing the dough mixture, make a well in the center of the dough in the bowl, then add yeast mixture, curd, butter, water and slowly mix with ur hands from corner to the center(inward direction)in a circular motion around the bowl. This will help the dough mix well without lumps.
