Sadhya Puli Inji

A sadhya item - Palakkad style

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Tamarind Puli
  • 10 nos Green chillies finely chopped and mashed
  • Ginger finely chopped and mashed
  • 2 pieces Jaggery Sharkkara
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Curry leaves A few
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1/4 spoon uluva
  • 1/4 spoon kayam

Instructions
 

  • Put tamarind in water and extract the juice.
  • Heat up a pan or a kadai.
  • Boil the tamarind water.
  • When it starts to boil, add turmeric powder, mashed green chillies, ginger, jaggery and salt.
  • Allow it to boil.
  • :- It`ll take a while.
  • When it starts to get thick, lower the flame and stir well.
  • Heat oil in a another pan.
  • Splutter mustard seeds and saute curry leaves.
  • Add the above seasoning into the gravy prepared and mix well.Last u can add uluva powder and kayam powder..
