Mysore Masala Dosa

Dosas made from raw rice - very famous South Indian dish

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Raw rice
  • 3/4 cup Black gram Uzhunnuparippu
  • 2 tbsp Red gram Thuvaraparippu
  • 2 tbsp Bengal gram Kadalaparippu
  • 2 tbsp Green gram Cheruparippu
  • 1 tsp Fenugreek seeds Uluva
  • 4 tbsp Cooked rice
  • Salt As reqd
  • Soda optional
  • Butter(optional)

Instructions
 

  • Soak black gram and fenugreek seeds separately for 6 hrs.
  • Soak raw rice, red gram, green gram, Bengal gram, cooked rice separately for 6 hrs.
  • Grind them to make a batter which is neither too thick nor too thin.
  • Allow this batter to get fermented for 6 hrs.
  • Add salt and a pinch of soda before making dosas.
  • Make dosas the usual way.
  • Add butter on top, if desired.
  • :- Serve with chutney and sambar.
