Breakfast made with rice and moong dhal

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Rice
  • 1/4 cup Green gram Cheruparippu
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • Turmeric powder a pinch
  • Salt As reqd
  • 2 nos Green chillies finely chopped
  • 1/4" piece Ginger finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Black gram Uzhunnuparippu
  • Curry leaves
  • Asafoetida a pinch, Kayam
  • 2 tsp Ghee
  • 1 tsp Oil

Instructions
 

  • Cook green gram/moong dhal and rice by adding 3 cups of water and required amount of milk in a pressure cooker.
  • Add salt and turmeric powder to it and cook.
  • Heat ghee and oil in a pan.
  • Fry all the other ingredients and mix it well with the rice and moong dhal.
  • :- Serve hot with sambar and chutney.
