Tamarind

Curry leaves

Instructions
Heat oil in a pan.
Roast Bengal gram or chana dal and red chillies, till the colour changes slightly.
:- Do not burn them.
Allow it to cool.
Grind together the above roasted items along with coconut, tamarind and salt.
Heat oil in a pan.
Splutter mustard seeds followed by black gram and curry leaves.
Pour the above seasoning onto the chutney.
:- Serve with hot idlis or dosas.
