Tomato Chutney - Simple

Chutney made with fresh tomatoes and onions

Ingredients
  

  • 2 nos Tomato Red Vine
  • 1 no Onion medium
  • 3 nos Red chillies
  • Coriander leaves A small bunch
  • Salt As reqd

For seasoning:

  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Black gram Uzhunnuparippu
  • Curry leaves A few

Instructions
 

  • Chop the onions and tomatoes.
  • Heat 2 tbsp of sesame oil in a pan.
  • Saute red chillies and onions.
  • When the onions become tender, add the tomatoes.
  • Add salt and cook, until the tomatoes are done.
  • Turn off the flame and immediately add coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Allow it to cool.
  • Grind it into a paste.
  • Heat a tbsp of oil in a pan.
  • Splutter mustard seeds.
  • Add black gram and curry leaves and saute them.
  • Add the above seasoning into the chutney.
  • :- Serve with dosa.
