Ingredients
  

  • 3 nos Potatoes chopped into cubes
  • 2 nos Red chillies
  • 15 ml Tamarind pulp Puli
  • 1/2 tsp Fenugreek seeds Uluva
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • Salt As reqd
  • Asafoetida A pinch, Kayam
  • Oil For frying

Instructions
 

  • For preparing Potato Kuttu, first wash, peel and cut potatoes into small cubes (1/2 cm x 1/2 cm).
  • Sprinkle some salt and keep aside for 15 minutes.
  • Fry potatoes in hot oil till golden brown in color. Keep it aside.
  • Heat a little oil in a pan.
  • Splutter mustard seeds and add fenugreek seeds, whole red chillies(deseeded) and asafoetida.
  • Grind this to a fine paste.
  • Mix together tamarind juice and ground masala.
  • Stir in fried potatoes and mix well.
  • :- Serve crispy tangy Potato Kuttu hot.
