Prawn Garlic Fry (Sungata Talsilale)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Prawns shelled
  • 3 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • Turmeric powder A pinch
  • Asafoetida As reqd
  • 2 nos Garlic pods
  • 4 - Oil
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Make a paste of chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida and salt.
  • Marinate the prawns with this paste for an hour.
  • Peel the garlic and crush them gently.
  • Fry the crushed garlic in a kadai in oil till brown.
  • Add the marinate and fry for some time.
  • Cover the kadai with a lid and lower the flame. :- there is no need to add water since the prawns give out water.
  • Allow it to cook while stirring frequently.
  • When it becomes dry, remove from the flame.
