Ingredients
  

  • 100 gm Semolina/Rava
  • 100 gm All purpose flour Maida
  • 1 cup Mint leaves Pudhina
  • 1 cup Coriander leaves
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2 nos Green chillies small
  • Tamarind A lime sized, Puli
  • 1/4 kg Potato
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilly powder
  • Oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Mix rava and maida.
  • Add water to make a tight dough.
  • Make large chappathis using this dough and cut out small round shapes from it.
  • Deep fry these in oil till they become crisp.
  • Soak tamarind in water for 3 mins. Extract the juice and keep it aside.
  • To make the sauce, grind together mint leaves, coriander leaves, salt and green chillies into a thick paste.
  • Mix the ground paste with the tamarind extract.
  • Boil potatoes and cut them into small pieces (Do not mash).
  • Mix some salt and red chilly powder on the potatoes and fry in oil.
  • While serving, make a hole inside each puri and place some amount of sauce inside it along with a potato piece.
