Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kg Brinjal/Vazhuthanaga
  • 1/4 kg Onion
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Black gram Uzhunnuparippu
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilly powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 5 tsp Oil

Instructions
 

  • Cut onions and brinjals into semi-circular pieces.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add mustard seeds and when it splutters, add the black gram.
  • When they get roasted, add the onions and brinjals.
  • Add salt and red chilly powder.
  • Fry it by stirring continuously until the brinjals and onions become soft.
  • :-Instead of red chilly powder,you may try it out with paruuppu podi or the normal molagai podi. It tastes really good with paruppu podi.
