First, in a pressure cook take dhal, tomato, onion, green chilly, turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt as required.
Pour 4 cups water and pressure cook it for 2 whistles. Once the pressure settles down, mash the dal using a whisk.
Take all the ingredients for seasoning.
Further, in a pan heat 1 tbsp ghee and add chopped garlic and saute till it turns into light brown in color.
Then add curry leaves, dried red chilly and saute for 10 seconds.
Pour the tempering over dal and mix well and adjust the consistency of dhal by adding ½ cup water or more and heaating. Finally, enjoy Lasooni Dal Tadka with rice, chappati etc.
