Easy Potato Kurma Recipe

  • 3 Nos. Potato Large
  • 1 Nos. Onion Small
  • 1 Nos. Tomato Small
  • 2 Nos. Green chilly
  • 3 Cups Coconut milk Coconut milk from half piece grated Coconut
  • 1 Tsp Pepper powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Garam masala
  • 1/2 Tsp Coriander powder
  • Salt As required
  • 2 Tbsp Oil
  • 1 Tsp Mustard seeds
  • 2 Tbsp Coriander leaves Chopped


  • Cut the veggies and keep it ready.
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker and splutter mustard seeds. Then add all the veggies.
  • Add turmeric powder, pepper powder, garam masala, coriander powder and salt as required.
  • Combine well and saute for 2 minutes.
  • Pour coconut milk and pressure cook it for 3-4 whistles.
  • Now the Kurma is ready. Mash the potatoes and combine well.
  • Delicious Potato Kurma is ready now. Serve it along with pathiri, dosa, chappathi etc.
