King Fish Fry | Kerala Style Fish Fry

Ingredients
  

  • 3-4 Slices King fish or any fleshy fish Cut and clean
  • 1/2 Tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1 1/2 Tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Ground pepper
  • 1 Small piece Ginger
  • 2-3 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 1/2 Tsp Lemon juice
  • 3-4 Nos Shallots
  • Coconut oil For frying
  • Few curry leaves
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Cut and clean the fish. Slice into rounds.
  • Grind all the ingredients together and make a fine paste.
  • In a bowl take fish pieces and marinate with this mix.
  • Cover with a lid and keep in refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
  • Heat oil in a pan for shallow frying. When oil is heated, spread 2-3 curry leaves spring in this. Then arrange fish pieces on top of the curry leaves and deep fry the fish.

  • Shallow fry each side.
  • Serve Kerala Style Fish Fry hot and crisp with noon day meals.
