Authetic Dal Fry

Dal Fry , For anyone who thinks Dal is boring, I’m going to change your mind today. This authentic style shallots Dal fry is smoky and spicy and indulgent and perfect with crisp tandoori rotis. All you need is some sliced shallots on the side.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Cooked toor dal
  • 10 nos 5) Shallots
  • 3 nos Green chillies
  • 1 no Big tomato
  • 3 nos Redchillies
  • 1/2 tsp haldi/turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Black mustard seeds
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • few spring Curry leaves
  • As required Salt

Instructions
 

  • Take all the ingredients and keep it ready
  • Heat oil in a pan,splutter mustard seed and add dry red chilly and chopped shallots.saute for 5 minutes.
  • Then add green chillies and tomato.
  • Cook the tomatoes in the oil until soft,then add all powders and saute for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the cooked dal and stir well.Simmer until thick, about 10-15 minutes low flame.
  • Serve the dal
