Mamma's Meen ( Fish ) Curry

This is My Favourite Fish Curry Recipe. I Learned This Recipe From My Mother.

Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm Fish any fish)
  • 1 / Grated Coconut
  • 1 / Turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp Kashmiri chilly powder
  • 1 / Fennel seeds
  • 1 Garlic pod
  • 8 nos Shallots
  • 3 nos Green chilly slit length wise
  • 1 no Tomato chopped
  • 4-5 nos Tamarind kudampuli
  • 1 / Fenugreek seeds
  • Curry leaves.
  • 2 tbsp Coconut oil
  • Salt to taste.

Instructions
 

  • Clean and wash the fish and keep it aside. Grind the grated Coconut with fennel seeds, garlic, 2 small onions, turmeric powder, chilli powder and little curry leaves.
  • Pour this ground coconut paste into a mud pot .Add green chillies, tomato, tamarind, salt and allows it to boil.
  • Then add fish pieces , cover and cook in low flame for 10-12 minutes. (Check occasionally)
  • Heat coconut oil in a pan and splutter fenugreek seeds, fry shallots and curry leaves.Pour this into the fish curry.
  • Enjoy the fish curry with steamed rice.
