Kesaribath
Quick dessert made in Karnataka when guests are sitting in the living room.

- 1 cup Semolina Rava/Sooji
- 1 1/2 cups Sugar
- 1 tbsp Raisins Onakkamunthiri
- 1 tbsp Cashewnuts
- 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder Elakka
- 3 tbsp Ghee
- 3 cups Hot water
- Kesari or Yellow food colour A pinch
Take a medium size non stick pan.
Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in it.
Add cashewnuts & raisins & fry for 1 min.
Add the rava and fry again for 1 min.
Reduce the flame completely & then add hot water, elaichi powder & food colour and keep stirring for 3-4 mins on medium flame.
When the rava gets almost cooked, add sugar and stir again.
:- Make sure that lumps are are not formed.
Add the remaining ghee and stir again.
Cover the pan and cook on reduced flame for 3 - 4 mins.
:- Serve hot.
