Palayam Kodan Appam-Easy Appam Recipe

This Palayam Kodan appam is a quick appam which you can make for any special occasions. It just needs a handful of ingredients and the appam turns out to be so soft.

  • 5 Palayam Kodan pazham Mysore banana
  • 1 cup Raw rice soaked overnight
  • 250 Jaggery
  • Salt pinch
  • Cardamom 1/2 tssp
  • Oil for frying
  • 2 tbsn Maida


  • Grind soaked rice and jaggery water into a smooth semi thick paste.
  • Add bananas and grind well.
  • Pour into a large bowl and add maidha,cardamom powder and a pinch of salt.combine well
  • Heat oil and rop the batter little by little and deep fry over a medium flame until the color changes into golden brown
  • Soft and tasty Palayam Kodan Appam is ready now.
