Punugulu Recipe-A Snack With Leftover Idli Batter

Punugulu is a simple easy snack recipe prepared with the leftover Idli batter or dosa batter.p personally I recommend Idli batter is much better compared to dosa as it is more thick and rough consistency.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cup Idli batter
  • 1 tbsp Rice flour
  • 2 tbsp Onion
  • Oil
  • Salt

Instructions
 

  • Takes 2 cups of leftover Idli batter
  • Add in rice flour,onion,green chilly, turmeric powder,salt and mix well makinig sure everything is combined well.
  • Heat oil in a pan and spoon in some batter or use your hand to drop them one by one.
  • Keep the flame on lower to medium stir occasionally.fry it till they turn golden brown in colour.
  • Drain off the punugulu on to kitchen towel to absorb oil.s serve it with chutney or tomato sauce.

Notes

1.Add more rice flour if required to get thick batter.
2.Use fermented dosa batter to make soft and crispy vada.
