Ash Gourd Dosa

These are absolutely soft and delicious ash gourd dosas. Ash gourd dosa is a tiffin recipe. The Ash Gourd is also called white gourd or winter melon is a native of South. It is a low calorie vegetable.For this soft and fluffy dosas we take the pulp of ash gourd and mix it up with finely ground urad dal to make this batter. These dosas move best with coconut chutney.

Ingredients
  

  • urad dal 1 cup
  • ash gourd pulp 1/2 cup
  • 2 green chillies 1
  • cumin seeds 1/2 sp
  • curry leavess few
  • coriander leavess few
  • salt to taste.

Instructions
 

  • soak urad dal for 1/2 an hour. grind it with green chillies.
  • add the pulp of ash gourd and mix it up with urad dal and grind it again
  • to this batter add salt, coriander leaves, curry leaves, cumin seeds.
  • pour it in dosa tawa and cook both sides with oil.
  • serve it hot.
