Channa Dal Chutney

Channa Dal chutney is a interesting chutney which goes good with dosa and paratha. This is very simple and easy to prepare . We could make a dry powder of this and store it. just a mix of fresh curd will transform this powder to a good tasty and spicy chutney. Dry roast the ingredients separately and make a coarse powder. This goes great with any combination.

Ingredients
  

  • channa dal 50 gms
  • red chili 3
  • cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • hing 1/2 tsp
  • curd 50 gms
  • salt to taste
  • pepper 1/2 tsp
  • mustard 1/2 sp
  • capsicum chops 2 sp
  • curry leaves few

Instructions
 

  • just fry channa dal in pan till it gets roasted
  • separately stir fry cumin seeds
  • also fry red chili
  • make a powder of the above three with salt and hing , pepper
  • grind to a coarse powder
  • mix this powder with curd
  • in oil saute some capsicum cubes , mustard and curry leafs
  • add to the chutney and serve
