Nadan Clam Meat (kakkaerachi) Roast

Kakkaerachi Roast is one of my favourite curry. Kakkaerachi is rich in calcium. Kakkaerachi Roast goes well with plain rice or idiyappam.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kg Clam meat
  • 2 Onion finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Ginger/ garlic paste
  • 3 Green chilli
  • 6 Fenugreek seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Fennel powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp Chilli powder
  • 2 tsp Pepper powder
  • Curryleaves
  • 4 tbsp Coconut oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat coconut oil in a pan, splutter fenugreek seeds, add chopped onions, ginger / garlic paste, green chill,curry leaves and saute it well.
  • Add all the above mentioned powders and saute it again.
  • Now add the cleaned and washed kakkaerachi,salt and mix well.
  • Cover and cook it for 15-20 minutes,stirring occasionally until it becomes dry and brown colour.
  • Nadan Kakkaerachi Roast is ready. Serve hot with plain rice,appam or idiyappam.
