Shrimp/Prawn Biriyani

Most of us love Shrimp & Prawns and hence, what better ingredient to add to your biriyani. Unlike Chicken & Mutton biriyanis, this biryani is mildly spiced and with every bite of shrimp, you feel satisfied.

Ingredients
  

  • FOR THE RICE
  • 3 cup Basmati rice
  • 1 Carrot
  • 2 Green chilly
  • 1 tsp Pepper corn
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 cup Tomto puree
  • 3 Clove
  • 1 small Cinnamon stick
  • 2 Cardamom
  • Salt to taste
  • 6 cup Water
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • FOR THE MASALA
  • 1/2 kg Prawn

Instructions
 

  • Take all the ingredients for rice and keep it aside.
  • Heat ghee in a bottom thick vessel,add cardamom,cinnamon stick,clove and green chilly.saute for a minute.
  • Add tomato puree,turmeric powder and pepper corn
  • Pour water into it and let it boil.when it starts boil add rice
  • Cook the rice until fully donne
  • For preparing prawn masala,heat oil in a vessel and saute onion until it become soft and light brown in colour.add tomato,green chilly,ginger garlic paste and saute for 5 minutr.
  • Add prawns,garam masala,pepper powder,chilly powder and cook till the raw smell goes away.
  • Serve the prawn biriyani with fresh veggie salad.
