Beef Varattiyadhu/Beef Roast

Beef varattiyadhu/beef roast is a Succulent beef cooked in aromatic spices before being fried with shallots,garlic,ginger to perfection.generally it is served with kappa,rice or with appam.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kg Beef
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp Red chilly powder
  • 1 cup Shallots
  • 1 tsp Ginger chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic chopped
  • 2 tbsp Green chilly chopped
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • Curry leaves one hand full
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a pressure cooker add the meat,chilly powder,turmeric powder,garam masala and salt.cook for 4-5 whistles.open the lid,keep the flame high and allow to dry if there is water
  • Shallow fry it in oil
  • Heat oil in a pan and saute shallots in it for 5 minutes
  • Add the remaining ingredients and saute again another 5 more minutes.
  • Add cooked meat and combine well for a minute
  • Hot spicy beef roast is ready to serve
