Chicken And Oats Soup
Another recipe for Ifthar! I make this chicken and Oats Soup mostly during Ramadan fasting .It is very healthy and highly nutritious soup.

Heat oil in a pot, add onion, garlic, green chillies and saute it until the onion become golden brown .
Add chicken pieces, tomato puree and cook it for 5 - 10 minutes on medium flame.
Add water, salt Cover and cook on low flame until the chicken becomes tender
Then add oats, stirring continously. Cook this for about 10 minutes, keep stirring to avoid it from sticking. Add more water and salt if required.
Finally, add chicken cube, cumin, pepper powder and cook for another 5 minutes so the spices can blend in.
Chicken and Oats Soup is ready. Squeeze half lemon juice before serving. Serve with bread sticks or garlic bread.
Chicken cube - 1 / 2 of one cube
Oil - 2 tbsp
Water - 5 cups
Salt to taste
