Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Wheat flour
  • 2 cups Grated jagerry
  • 3 nos Banana I used palayamkodam
  • 1/4 tsp Sesame
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
  • 2 tsp Ghee
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • Oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • For preparing Wheat Unniyappam, first melt the grated jagerry with 1/2 cup of water and keep it aside.
  • Mash the bananas in a mixie and keep it aside.
  • Add the wheat flour, mashed bananas, jaggery syrup and mix well.
  • Add cardamom powder, sugar, sesame, ghee to the mixture and mix well by adding water if required. The batter should be of dropping consistency.
  • Heat oil in an unniyappam chatti, drop spoonful of the batter into the oil (low flame) and deep fry till both sides become golden brown in colour.
  • Serve it hot with a cup of tea or coffee.
