Ivy Gourd / Kovakkai Pickle (andhra Style)

A finger lickingly delicious spicy pickle made with Ivy Gourd. It is simple and very easy to prepare.

Ingredients
  

  • Ivy Gourd / Kovakkai 100gm
  • red chili powder 1 tsp
  • salt 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • oil 25 ml
  • mustard 2 tsp
  • fenugeek seed 2 tsp

Instructions
 

  • chop the ivy gourd / kovakkai in round shape
  • in pan heat the oil and add ivy gourd and turmeric powder and fry it until it turn into brown colour
  • fry the mustard and fenugreek seed in a pan with out oil
  • make a powder by grinding it
  • in a plastic or glass bowl add ivy gourd, salt, red chili powder, oil and mustard fenugreek powder and mix well
  • allow for 2 days
  • now ivy gourd / kovakkai pickle is ready
