Yellow Pumpkin Poriyal

Yellow pumpkin - manjal poosanikai or parangikai can be made as delicious curry with flavorful masalas.

Ingredients
  

  • yellow pumpkin 1 cup
  • small onion 15 no.
  • green chili 1 no.
  • curry leaves 6 no.
  • crystal salt to taste
  • sambhar powder 1 tsp
  • oil 3 tsp
  • urad dal 1/2 tsp
  • mustard 1 tsp
  • bengal gram 1/2 tsp
  • coriander leaves to garnish

Instructions
 

  • peel the skin and chop the yellow pumkin
  • heat the oil in the pan and temper the mustard, broken urad dal and bengal gram
  • add chopped onion, green chili and curry leaves and saute it
  • add yellow pumpkin and mix well
  • add crystal salt and mix well
  • add sambhar powder and mix well
  • add 1 glass of water and allow to cook until the water get dry in medium flame
  • garnish with coriander leaves, yellow pumpkin poriyal is ready
