In a pressure pan add toor dal and two and half cup water and garlic and turmeric powder pressure 4 whistles.
In a pan add oil and temper mustard, jeera fenugreek
Add onion trhen Saute well
Add vegetables then saute well
Add tomato and cook till gets soft
Add sambar powder, salt and mix well
Now add cooked dal and water. bring to boil.
Now add tamarind extract and boil for few minutes and add asafoetida.
Now turn the flame to medium and cook for few minutes
Now its ready to serve Tiffin sambar with Idly or Dosa.
