Kannadi Muttai Kuzhambu

Kannadi Muttai Kuzhambu is a south indian masala gravy prepared by cooking egg in authentic indian spices. It is a best accompaniment with white rice and chappathi.

  • 4 Egg
  • 1 Onion
  • 1/2 cup Tomato puree
  • 1/4 cup Coconut
  • 4 Dry chili
  • 2 tsp Coriander seed
  • 1 tsp Jeera
  • 1 tsp Fennel seed
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic
  • Curry leaves little
  • Salt as taste
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 - Water


  • In a pan, dry roast coriander seed , dry chilies, jeera, fennel seed and last add coconut and roast till coconut comes transparent white color. turn off . allow it to cool and grind into a paste
  • In a pan add oil and add curry leaves and saute onion and add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes out
  • Now add tomato puree (3 tomato) and cook for 3 mins
  • Now add grinded paste and and add 1 1/2 cup water and cook for 10 minutes. add salt
  • Now add egg slowly in low flame and don't disturb for ten minutes and after that slowly stir. see whether egg cooked well , if not cook for 5 more minutes
  • Now slowly mix and turn off . Now its ready Kannadi Muttai Kuzhambu
