Sundal Rasam
Rasam is an integral part of South Indian meals.This rasam is made with freshly fried and grinded paste and i added three pulses and good for diet.

- Tamarind soaked in 1-1/2 cups of water
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- Hing (Perungayam)
- Salt to taste
- Jaggery little
- Mixed Pulses soaked and cooked till soft
- 1 finely Tomato optional
Ingredients for Tempering:-
- 1 tsp Ghee
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- Curry leaves
- Coriander leaves for garnishing
Soak the pulses for at least 6 hours (I soaked them overnight) and pressure cook till it become soft.
Take the Tamarind extract in a vessel, add Turmeric powder, Hing (perungayam), Salt and Jaggery. Boil this till the raw smell of the tamarind goes.
Add tomato and bring to boil for few mins
Add cooked pulses with water mix well
In mean time, Fry the first 3 items in very little oil and grind it along with coconut and cumin seeds.add in rasam
For more dilution add water and temper that ingredients and pour it
Now its ready to serve Sundal rasam
